ANATUM: Can you give a brief description of your product and your pricing structure?
Cogent3D: iGeoTrak / iOS / Priced yearly per device: $250 Map / $500 Collector / $1,200 Professional
ANATUM: Does your product support disconnected editing, or does it require a Wi-Fi or cellular service connection?
Cogent3D: Supports all function disconnected. Connection can be wifi, cell, email attachments, and iTunes with cable.
ANATUM: Is User data and project features stored on your company’s server or a cloud database
Cogent3D: Data is stored and synced using Amazon Cloud. Each client is placed in their own instance of the database.
ANATUM: What are the security features to protect the User’s data?
Cogent3D: Domain key for hardware, user login/password, remote wipe, and proxy access to database from hardware.
ANATUM: Can users sync their data from the field so office coworkers can see new data, or have the office staff feed new project data to workers in the field?
Cogent3D: Yes, users can sync to the office and other mobile users with filters based on need to know or access per user. Also data can be added on one of the mobile platforms or in the office and sent to the others.
ANATUM: Is there a native map component and what mapping service does it use?
Cogent3D: Yes – Apple Maps and users can load their own rasters (Drone, aerial, space, topo, etc.) over this maps.
Cogent 3D: Raster images can be synced just like the vectors so they are cached on the device based on permission and work disconnected.
Apple maps self-cache and not under our control.
ANATUM: Does your program record points, lines, and polygons with the ability to customize data collection forms based on the paper datasheets they might normally utilize?
Cogent3D: Yes to both questions. As well attach photos, drawings, map images, and PDF/Office documents.
ANATUM: Does your program record photos and video for attachment to GPS records? Can the User import an existing photo from the Camera Roll?
Cogent3D: Yes, to photos and videos. Users can also import from camera roll and save photos to the camera roll as well.
Cogent3D: Yes, you can search for asset/feature, for location with address and lat/long.
ANATUM: Does your program have the ability to view the history of previously recorded field entries, or GPS records from other users?
Cogent3D: Yes, the mobile platform has a full SQL spatial engine so you can access all previous entries. As well know when, who, what, and where they where when it was changed.
ANATUM: Can users open records recorded by other users and see the data recorded by the original author of the data point?
Cogent3D: Yes, if you have the permissions you can see entries by other users at points, lines, and polygons.
ANATUM: Does your program have the ability to auto-generate ID numbers for records to help minimize incorrect labeling by the user?
Cogent3D: Yes, we have several tools for access the results of the project at a desktop. No, it does not look like the mobile device at this time.
ANATUM: Is there an automatic PDF report creation function?
Cogent3D: Yes, you can generate reports in PDF or you can access the dynamic web dashboard version.
ANATUM: Are there any particular features that you want to highlight?
Cogent3D: Data for projects can be groups in a number of different geospatial structures (e,g, State->County-> project).
Software has the ability to track the mobile device, assign and track work orders/tasking, track time keeping of events, and automatically assign weather to observations.
Software has unique ability to allow for analysis of results on the mobile platform such as cluster gridded or ungridded points into polygon zones.
Number of individual features that can be on the device is only limited by storage and rendering on newer hardware can have 100K plus features on the rendered map at one time.
ANATUM: Thank you very much for sharing information about iGeoTrak!
